RIVERFEST AT BERKLEY RIVERFRONT PARK July 4th from 4pm-11pm @ 2301-2499 E Reservoir Drive Kansas City, MO 64106 This is the big one!
Multiple bands perform on 2 stages: Flannigan's Right Hook, Boogie Wonderland, The Zeros, Jorge Arana Trio, Drew6, Akkilles, Vi Tran Band, and Eddie Moore & the Outer Circle.
There will also be Food Vendors, Beverage Stands w/ Beer, Soda, and water, Bouncie Houses for the kids, craft activities, interactive booths from Healthy River Partners, and the KC Kite Club. It'll be mad fun!
Parking will be at a premium so get there early and walk or ride the free shuttles dropping off at 3rd, 5th, and 7th Streets on Grand. Parking is $10 in the lot - first come first serve until it's full. There are also a limited number of Handicap reserved spaces in the lot and a drop-off at the paved entrance to the park.
Admission to Riverfest is $5. Cash only at the gate. Admission is FREE from 4 - 5 pm. Children 12 and Under are admitted FREE.

Longview Lake map is south of I-470 and east of Hwy 71. Take I-470 East to Raytown Road, then head south about 2 miles and follow the signs.

You can bring your own coolers to this one BUT NOT your own alcohol. This is the Overland Park Rotary Club major fund raiser for the year. They receive monies from sponsors as well as a portion of the money made in the beverage tents - so drink loads of their beer and take a cab home.
FOOD Vendors include the Blue Moose Bar & Grill, Italian ICE, Jerusalem Cafe, Coldstone Creamery, Kona Ice, Crazy Good Eats, Big Dog BBQ, Funnel Cake, Polar Oasis, Poppin Joe, and Frosty Treats. Other vendors: Thermal King windows, Alenco home remodeling, Lite M Up toys, Ameripure water, Jump 4 Kids, Fulk Chiropractic, Thrift Management, and Master Kim's Tae Kwon Do. About an hour's drive east of Kansas City and two hundred years back in time, Fort Osage offers children and adults the opportunity to experience military and civilian life as it was on a military fort and trading post in 1812. The wild west. Fur trading. Muskets. Wagon trains and steam engines. Pony Express. An 8.2 Earthquake hits New Madrid MO. James Madison is President of the US. Napolean leads the French Army into Moscow, Russia. The Duke of Wellington seizes Burgos Spain. Tecumseh's Native American forces ambush Van Horne's Americans at Brownstone Creek and win. The United States invades Canada -wait, what? Yeah, sorry. But Fort Osage is open from 9am - 4:30 pm Tuesday - Sunday so you could take the kids out for a living history lesson and have some fun!
MISSOURI TOWN 1855 @ Fleming Park / Lake Jacomo 8010 E. PARK ROAD LEE'S SUMMIT, MO 64064 is another living history settlement located a little bit closer to the KC Metro. Missouri Town depicts a rural farming community from the years 1820 - 1860. Pre-railroad times. Rare livestock. Heirloom gardens. Blacksmith beating on horseshoes. Original buildings. People in period costumes that talk a little different than we do today. Might be fun! Tuesday - Sunday 9am - 4:30pm Adult Admission $5. Children ages 5-13 @ $3. Seniors 62 and over @ $3.

PARKVILLE 2014 JULY 4th CELEBRATION from WEDNESDAY 2 JULY --SATURDAY 5 JULY Parkville is ready! The carnival is Wednesday and Thursday 6-10pm $20 unlimited rides. Friday starts @ 7am with a pancake breakfast followed by a parade @ 10am, more carnival, a symphony, the Falcon Sky Diving Team, and then Fireworks. Wow. You better go look for yourself.
